The Magificent Seven ?

A crucial part of the McCann cover up has been the willingness of the group known as the Tapas 7 to tell lies or at best half truths in support of the McCanns.

For many who follow the Mainstream narrative it is the support of these reputable individuals that gives credence to the innocence of the McCanns.

I think most people have concluded that the T7 exhibit differing degrees of connivance.  Perhaps with Jane Tanner at one end and Diane Webster at the other.

Here are the protagonists along with some brief comments:

In terms of their role in the cover up.  Jane Tanner is the one who seems to stand out given her testimony re Tannerman, a sighting now widely regarded as either entirely fictional or based loosely on a probably distant sighting of Dr Trottman bringing his son back from the night creche.  Tanner has raised suspicions that she personally handled Maddie's corpse at some stage in an interview when she  said  "I held her like that".  Besides this Jane Tanner and Russell O'Brien lived close to both the Gorrods who they admit to being friends with and Robert Murat's sister with whom he  was staying until apparently rather hurriedly returning to Luz on 1 May.  Tanner's mDNA was found along with that of Murat in Murat's relative villa in nearby Bergau.

Drs Payne, O'Brien and Oldfield are probably next in line of complicity given they were each important in establishing where Madeleine supposedly was on Thursday evening.

Dr Fiona Payne and Rachael Oldfield appear to have taken a more cautious approach in terms of their willingness to tell lies in their police interviews.

Finally Diane Webster is either the most convincing liar of the lot, or IMHO was not put fully in the loop as to what happened at least until a much later date.  if it is correct that Diane Webster was indeed telling the truth it makes her testimony, often rather ignored as rather important.

The kids in this group are generally ignored as of course they are innocent of any crime.  However it should be noted that there were three young girls in the group all of a similar age, Maddie McCann, Lily Payne and Ella O'Brien.  Lily and Maddie especially looked very alike.  It is very likely that the Smiths saw Gerry McCann carrying a young girl who seemed to be asleep down towards the beach shortly before 10pm.  What remains uncertain was whether he was carrying Maddie's corpse or a sedated Lily or Ella.

And then we have the  Gorrods.  They are not officially part of the group.  However there are three outrageous coincidences which point towards a possible  association.  1 They were friends of Jane Tanner and ROB living close to them in Essex.  They came "on the  same  holiday" ie same out on the Saturday 28  only returning a  day later than the others were scheduled to do so.  Bizarrely they checked into C5C a unit part of the Millenium Complex 2 days after arriving and there is no record as to where they stayed for the first two days.  There was also a  text message between Jane Tanner and  Charlotte Gorrod at 8.30pm Thursday 3rd  ie  just before the nights performance was due to begin.  5C in the Ocean Club building which would have  been next to their friends Jane Tanner and  ROB was apparently empty. There has been no explanation for what would seem a massively unlikely coincidence. James Gorrod hired a blue Opel car for the duration of the holiday.  There has been some suggestion that he  lent the car to Russel O'Brien at some stag and also that he  was a sailing partner of  some of the other men earlier in the  week.  Perhaps most oddly of all none of this was investigated by any of the police or journalists involved despite  the series of unusual coincidences.

So what are your views?  Is Jane Tanner really the guiltiest of them all?  What drive her to put her nexk on the line in the way she  has done rather than stick to half lies and  misremembers as seems to be the case with Fiona and Rachael?  Was Diane really oblivious to all this (suggesting a death Wednesday or later).  Are the Gorrods a massive Red Herring or do they have an important role in solving the  puzzle?
